What the Haws guarantee covers: guarantee details by model

What the guarantee means

Haws offers a guarantee on manufacturing defects. This covers faults that arise from how the watering can was made, not from how it has been used or handled.

The guarantee period is fixed by product. Each watering can model has its own guarantee duration, which we record when the product is made.

What the guarantee does not cover

The guarantee does not cover:

Physical damage from impact or handling. If your watering can has been dropped, struck, frozen, or subjected to rough handling, damage resulting from these events is not covered.

Damage from freezing. Leaving a watering can full of water in a freezing environment can cause internal pressure that deforms or cracks the structure. This type of damage is not covered.

Damage from incorrect assembly. If a ferrule has been fitted incorrectly or over-tightened, damage to the ferrule or spout is not covered.

Corrosion or surface change. Normal oxidation, patina, surface greying, fading, paint chipping, or other cosmetic changes are not covered, even if they affect appearance.

Wear and tear. Gradual changes to surfaces and finishes that occur through normal use are not covered.

Functional degradation. If a rose becomes partly blocked by mineral deposits or debris from water, this is not a manufacturing fault and is not covered by the guarantee.

If you think your watering can is faulty

If you believe your watering can has developed a fault within the guarantee period, contact us with:

The product name and purchase date

A description of the fault and when you first noticed it

        Photos if possible

We can then assess whether the fault is covered by the guarantee and discuss next steps with you.

Guarantee does not affect your legal rights

The guarantee is in addition to any legal rights you have under consumer protection law in your country. If you have a question about those rights, contact your local consumer protection agency.
