The Selly Soak – 1 Gallon is a lightweight, long-reach watering can designed to bring Haws’ signature balance and control to everyday gardening at an accessible price. A core part of our value-conscious range, it’s ideal for patios, borders, and greenhouses – offering the same easy handling and precise pouring found in our premium metal models.

Crafted from durable, blow-moulded high-density polyethylene, the Selly Soak’s seamless one-piece body has no joints or seams, making it both watertight and highly resistant to knocks, drops, and general wear. The oval neck opening slips neatly under a tap for splash-free filling, while the cross stay between spout and body doubles as a forward handle—keeping the can stable during one-handed carrying and controlled during pouring.

With a one-gallon (4.5 litre) capacity, it’s light enough for frequent use yet large enough to handle most daily watering needs. The plastic construction is naturally tolerant of chemical solutions, making it practical for mixing and applying plant feeds—though we always recommend following safety guidelines when using any watering can with fertilisers.

Supplied with the Plastic Oval Rose – Fine Spray High Flow, the Selly Soak delivers a gentle yet efficient spray for both delicate seedlings and established plants. Also included is the Plastic Downspout, perfect for delivering water directly to plant bases, working under dense foliage, or filling pots cleanly without splash-back. While compatible with our All Brass roses, these are not recommended for regular use, as their weight and sharper edges can damage the plastic ferrule.
