The Hockley Heritage HDG – (Haws Green, 2 Gallon)
A much-loved classic, reimagined for the modern gardener.
Back by popular demand after a five-year hiatus, the Hockley Heritage HDG watering can returns with contemporary updates while staying true to its heritage. Originally designed by David Pennock in the early 2000s, this design embodies Haws tradition—from tooling made in our own workshop to the final hand-assembled details at our West Midlands factory.
This traditional dousing can, reminiscent of the iconic “Peter Rabbit” style, is perfect for generous watering sessions. Its distinctive pressed lattice pattern—formed with over 80 tons of pressure—is more than decorative, reinforcing the body for decades of dependable service.
Featuring a curved steel rear handle for enhanced comfort and control, paired with the original wooden top handle, it’s built for both function and tradition. Its close-reach spout and General Purpose coarse spray rose deliver a swift, even flow, making it ideal for borders, beds, and established plants.
Each can is hot-dip galvanised for ultimate rust resistance, then hand-painted in signature Haws Green and finished with our signature details at our West Midlands factory.
A robust, practical choice with roots in British garden tradition—reborn for today’s gardener.
