The General Purpose Rose

Spray weight is coarse – the rose produces a heavier spray with larger droplets, delivering water more quickly. This matches the high-flow delivery characteristics of traditional-spout cans and suits quicker watering of established plants where gentleness is less critical.

The general purpose face shape is a larger round face with a moderate dome. It produces a spray pattern that sits between round and oval – combining a degree of focus with broader coverage. It is a subtype of round, not a separate face shape category.

Construction is all-brass. Brass is corrosion resistant and may develop patina over time – a surface change that does not affect function. Fits the No.4 Brass ferrule only. Not compatible with No.3 Brass or No.3 Plastic ferrule cans or roses.
